Religion of a Grain

Ahambhumika is an organization that donates food grains to the needy. They are doing best and something different of other organizations.

It started when a friend on Twitter  retweeted a comment of a organisation she follows for updates.
It says:  "I have seen your website. Want to know if this is Hindu charity org. Only then will I support."  My reaction was "What the F*** !"  is that...

I asked him "Do you know the religion of the food you eat?", and all the supporters came in and started shitting as usual, I thought I would write something, than replying each one of them.

I know there are not many people in India who do charity without seeking returns. A common person who does charity (including me, whenever I did earlier) used to think of good karma. With all the religions now getting so extreme with the thoughts of their existence, that we have started discriminating our fellow citizens. This change has been seen in each and every religion, be it Islam, Christianity, Hindu or other religions.

We have forgotten the basic funda of Charity. It is 'HELP' with whatever you have in abundance or little more. Be it money, food or clothes. Giving out charity to a organisation after verification is absolutely fine. But asking which religion they support is disgusting.

I think no one knows the religion of a grain. Grain to a farmer is like his child. He takes care of it, nurtures it, pampers it. Do we know weather that farmer is Hindu, Muslim, Christian or a Sikh? We don't know.
Wheat cultivated by a Muslim Farmer ain't going to change its color to green or Rice is cultivated by a Dalit wont turn it navy blue.

Moral of the blog is, when you donate, don't think twice. There are people who need us. We can't let someone die cuz hes not ours.

Nothing much to write now. I am done!

Frustration, frustration and lot more frustration!!!.....is what speaks in volume than the wonderful message you have given here my friend!!... Well grain doesn't have any religion, neither does anything else. And we all do also forget religion is a personal matter and nothing to do with anyone or anything. Do get frustrated dear friend...and just carry on with your work!!! Best wishes!
